I hit the ‘school run’ alarm on Saturday and looked at the time with hazy eyes confused why i was waking up so early. I then remembered it was for a really good cause....Well, maybe two; i had silly amounts of Nutella on toast for breakfast...

The Media/Music/Graphics team spent Saturday afternoon volunteering for a Barnardo’s ‘Wise Up’ event. (http://www.london.gov.uk/young-london/teens/events/wiseup/index.jsp) Barnardo’s is a charity run for vulnerable children that believes to bring out the best in every child. It was a packed afternoon with photography, film and music. There was one 14 year old in particular who seemed quite shy although once he stepped up to the microphone, the smile on his face from expressing himself was really proud as we were of him. Was it worth spending the Saturday there? Most definitely. We all left the day feeling good and the kids enjoyed themselves.
