Music-loving students will be showcasing their talents to raise cash for charity next month.
Redbridge College’s music department will be organising and performing at a Christmas Concert on Tuesday 8 December, 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Tickets are free but need to be reserved in advance by calling 020 8548 7464.
Food will be available on the night for £3, £1 of which will go towards equipment for local special needs schools, including Little Heath, Newbridge and Hatton Schools. The schools are attended by children with learning difficulties and educational needs and they need money for a mini bus and specially adapted toys.
Pete Herbert, assistant curriculum manager for music, said, "I think it's really important for our students to get involved with helping others, and raising money for a worthy cause such as the local special needs school is an excellent way of making sure that they become socially responsible adults. The kind of equipment these schools need to buy - such as specially adapted toys - will have a huge impact on the youngsters who use them, and we are glad to help make that happen."
The night promises to be a fun, loud event with a mix of old and new music favourites, so reserve your ticket today as spaces are strictly limited!
