Last Word Records

Last Word Records is a new record label, operated by Redbridge College. Originally established in June 2008, our aim is to nurture creative talent and to offer recording and promotional facilities to both our own students and to other artists. In addition, it offers our music students the chance to take part in all aspects of running the company, in both creative and commercial areas. It is especially good for our level 3 and foundation degree students who will gain invaluable industry experience in both creating work and releasing it to the public. We therefore aim to give students a realistic insight into the industry with hands-on industrial experience forming a key part of study.

The label works in conjunction with Armana Entertainment to record new, upcoming talent and to help develop their artistic ability, and to work on the areas of publicity and marketing. This partnership allows us to provide authentic industry experience to those who choose to study with us.

Our recording studios offer a full range of professional facilities and we fully engage students in all the processes encountered in the industry at large, from A & R, recording, engineering, developing artists’ vocal and stagecraft skills, and releasing and promoting work.

The recording studio facilities are available for hire to schools offering the chance to develop school curriculums within the music field in an industrial context. We are also available for hire to outside artists, providing an opportunity to record their work professionally.
