Learning Resource Centre

The Learning Resource Centre has two dedicated study areas which incorporate a Library (LRC) and an open access IT Centre (Flex). These provide a wide range of resources, facilities and services to help you complete your coursework and succeed in your studies. These areas are supported by qualified and experienced staff.

Silent study areas are available for you to study on your own and project rooms equipped with PCs for group work activities.

The Flex IT Suite

The Flex is a supported IT-based centre with access to PCs and Apple Macs. You can either drop-in and use a computer immediately (if one is available) or pre-book. All computers have access to the internet and a variety of software packages.

Inductions to the LRC and Flex will be booked by your course tutor at the start of your course. The induction provides you with the essential information needed to become a successful user and includes a hands-on exercise in using the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and finding the resources in the centre.

Every student will have their own College email address, fast access to the internet via the College computers and a dedicated network space that is accessible day and night, both on campus and externally.
