Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) courses
Learn how to access the advanced functions of Microsoft Office that will speed up your workflow, give you professional results more quickly and unlock a whole host of features that will take your skills to the next level. Our Microsoft-accredited qualifications are recognised internationally, certifying your abilities and proving to employers that you have the computing skills needed to work more productively and efficiently. And, thanks to our modular learning sessions you can drop in at times that suit you and complete the course at your own pace.
We offer:

- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Outlook
Each module is purchased separately, and enables you to access 18 hours of contact time in our IT suite during a choice of sessions (your exam entry is included within your 18 hours). How you take the six, three-hour blocks is up to you: you could come to college weekly on either Tuesday evenings or Saturday morning, or you could attend both sessions and complete the qualification in just three weeks.
You will need a basic knowledge of your chosen application to benefit from this course. We have rolling starts available throughout the year and the course and exam costs £150 per module.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams
Redbridge College is an authorised testing centre for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams. Experienced or distance learners can book an exam with just three working days' notice. Exams take place between 9am and 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 1.30pm on Fridays.
Microsoft-accredited qualifications are recognised internationally, certifying your abilities and proving to employers that you have the computing skills needed to work more productively and efficiently.
We offer exams in:
- Microsoft Word (2007 or 2010)
- Microsoft Word Expert (2007 or 2010)
- Microsoft Excel (2007 or 2010)
- Microsoft Excel Expert (2007 or 2010)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (2007 or 2010)
- Microsoft Outlook (2007 or 2010)
- Microsoft Access (2007 or 2010You will take a 60-minute test on a computer in a simulated Microsoft Office application environment. You will need to have a good knowledge of the application you have chosen. Exams cost £90 and you will receive your results and a print-out of your certificate on the day, if you pass the exam.
