Record breaking turnout at summer Open Day

A total of 1,250 visitors flocked to Redbridge College’s record-breaking summer 2012 Open Day, making it the college’s most popular ever open event.
Visitors to the college’s main campus in Chadwell Heath on Saturday 23 June were able to find out about careers, courses and college life while also enjoying a community fun day.
Family-friendly activities on the action-packed day included a tremendously popular barbecue, bouncy castle and face painting - all free of charge to guests.
In addition, visitors were able to enjoy a range of popular taster activities including how to make smoothies, mixing music tracks and make-up demonstrations.
Teaching staff and current students were also on hand to provide school leavers and prospective adult learners with information, advice and guidance about courses and college life.
Redbridge College offers a range of real-world vocational courses for both school leavers and adult learners, across subject areas as diverse as Beauty Therapy, Business Studies, Hospitality & Catering and Health & Social Care.
The record-breaking event follows the recent publication of government statistics that recognised Redbridge College as the top performing college for learner success rates in Greater London, and the 10th best nationally.
Enrolment has now begun at the college for courses starting in September 2012.
If you meet the entry requirements for your course (and are not waiting for GCSE results) you can sign up and secure your place for September immediately.
If you are waiting for your GCSEs, there's still time to have your interview and get priority enrolment on results day.
