Redbridge College 40th Anniversary Lunch

AnniversaryIt was the year that The Beatles split, the Apollo 13 space mission was launched sparking the immortal words "Houston, we've got a problem!", the Boeing 747 made its maiden voyage, but probably more important than all these events, 1970 was the year that Redbridge College was founded.

June 2nd 1970 saw Redbridge College open its doors to the residents of Redbridge and beyond. A lot has changed in the past forty years but one thing remains the same, and that is a college that is focused on student success and providing a valuable service to the residents of Redbridge.

This year the college celebrates its 40th birthday and to celebrate, Redbridge College is hosting a special anniversary celebration on June 11 2010 and would love to include any former students or staff members who were at the college during its founding year.

If you, or anyone you know, were a student or staff member during the college’s first academic year of 1970/1971 and would like to join in the celebrations please contact Sarah Plater on 020 8548 7436 or email splater@redbridge-college.ac.uk.
