Students come face to face with a real life Action Man

A group of around 50 Redbridge College students were recently invited to attend a two hour ‘Fixup’ session hosted by Action Jackson, a motivational speaker who works with young people to help them reach their full potential.

Jackson Ogunyemi, A.K.A. ‘Action Jackson’ entertained and students with his energy, passion, humour and inspirational insight to demonstrate to the students how they can make minor changes in their lives in order to get major results. The initially sleepy students were quiet to begin with, however within half an hour Jackson had them laughing, sitting up straight and genuinely taking an interest in what he had to say. Using simple positive reinforcement techniques Jackson had the students feeling more confident and believing that they had the power to get the best out of their studies, life experiences and their general disposition.

One student who attended the session, Ripon Miah said “I really enjoyed the session today. I didn’t come with any expectations but found it very inspiring and I learnt a lot of new skills including how to manage my money.”

Action Jackson is an acclaimed speaker and founder of Fixup Seminars who works with a vast range of people, from school students, management teams of large organisations and individuals in different walks of life. He uses humour to engage his audience and is able to strike a chord with his delegates. He is very unconventional in his approach and believes that you were created to stand out, not fit in!

At the end of the session Jackson said “I have been doing this for 10 years now and I never tire of it. It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning. If I can at least reach one person in each session then I have done my job. These guys were great today; all audiences take a bit of time to warm up but I could soon feel the buzz in the room and once one person started to join in they were all up for it and excited. It was a pleasure to come to Redbridge College and share my knowledge. It would be great to come back again”.
