Rhys Taylor (Level 2 Diploma in Barbering)
“I completed the course just two months after enrolling. It’s not like being stuck in a classroom at school. Every day was exciting and you learn a lot from the people around you. I love the lifestyle you have as a hairdresser, meeting different people every day.”
“There’s great banter, and I don’t really see it as work; I see it as something I enjoy. Every day is different and I’m always learning something new. My aim is to learn to be an assessor and have my own salon, to give people the same training opportunities I’ve had.”
“Every day of training at New City College was exciting. Now when I get up each day, I don’t feel like I’m going to work. I feel like I’m heading off to do something I enjoy.”
